What to Expect

What should you expect from a church plant, particularly Redeemer Presbyterian Church, PCA?

In our church plant, or our baby church, there are people who are mature in their faith, people who are young in their faith, and people who are wondering what faith is. You should know that however you describe your faith, you are welcome here. Also, you should know that we have a simple approach to ministry. We are focused on proclaiming the Gospel message, while, worshiping and living together in a community, which is finding meaning for all of life in that Gospel message.

Where do you meet for worship?

Sunday morning worship services are held at the Gardendale Civic Center, located at 970 Main St, Gardendale, Al, 35071.

Park in the main parking lot and enter the door facing the parking area. We are located in the Garden Suite (the first set of rooms on the left as you enter). There will be signs and greeters to guide you. Be sure to pick up a worship guide that contains the words to hymns and our order of worship.
What is your worship like?

Our worship service is both reverent and casual. We follow an ancient pattern of liturgy, drawing on the wisdom of Christians who have gone before us. We have found that worshiping this way is deeply meaningful and formative for us over time. Rather than empty ritual, our worship is meant to be relational, connecting with God and strengthening our ties to one another.

What will my kids do on Sunday mornings?

We have a nursery ministry that is available for children 0-4 years during worship. The nursery is divided into an infants and crawlers section, and a walkers section. While a family worship environment is encouraged, and necessary for the present time, in the near future a children’s class will be available for those age 4 through 6 if you feel this is more appropriate for your child.

Redeemer Kids seeks to provide a welcoming, safe, and nurturing environment for children and their parents. We strive to be a place where kids learn about Jesus, experience his love, and live like him in their families and neighborhoods. We want to be a community where parents are supported in raising their kids and feel challenged to live the abundant life Jesus offers.

What is the Sunday morning schedule?

We gather for morning worship starting at 10:00 am. Our worship service lasts approximately 75 minutes and we partake of the Lord’s Supper each Sunday.

What should I wear?

This is something we certainly do not want people to stress about in their preparation for Sunday morning worship. You will see men wearing jeans or slacks, polos, button-downs, or a jacket. You will see the ladies wearing skirts, pants, jeans or dresses. Depending on the weather, or your mood – please come as you are!
